Managed IT

Microsoft 365 that your team can rely on.

Email, Teams and files are where most of the working day happens. Guardian sets up and looks after Microsoft 365 for businesses across East Texas, from Tyler and Nacogdoches.

Common problems

Microsoft 365 is easy to start and easy to lose track of

Many businesses set up Microsoft 365 years ago, added people as they went and never had anyone own it. The problems tend to look the same.

  • You pay for licenses but cannot say who has them.
  • Former employees may still be able to sign in.
  • Files are spread across desktops, email attachments, OneDrive and shared folders.
  • Nobody is sure who holds the administrator account.
  • Sign-in relies on a password alone.

What support covers

Set up properly, then looked after

Your written scope confirms what Guardian takes on. These are the areas Microsoft 365 support typically covers.

Setup and clean-up

Setting up Microsoft 365, or bringing an existing account under management and documenting how it is configured.

Licensing

The right license for each person, nothing paid for that nobody uses, and changes made as your team changes.

Email, Teams and files

Day-to-day administration of mailboxes, shared mailboxes, Teams and file sharing, with help when something stops working.

Secure sign-in

Sign-in protected by more than a password, and administrator access held by the people who should have it.

People joining and leaving

Accounts ready before a new hire starts, and a documented departure so email, files and access are handled.

Backup

Backup coverage for the email and files the business cannot lose, as agreed in writing. Backup subscriptions are quoted separately.

How it starts

A conversation first, then a written scope

Start with a 15-minute introduction about how your team works and what keeps getting in the way. No passwords or remote access needed. If there is a fit, the scope, responsibilities and cost are written down before any work begins, and no change is made without your approval.

Microsoft 365 support is usually part of managed IT, alongside computers, backups and the network. Moving from another provider? See how switching IT providers works.

Common questions

Do you need our administrator password for the first conversation?

No. The first conversation is about how your team uses email, Teams and files today and what keeps going wrong. Access is only arranged later, with your approval, if you decide to work together.

Can you help with Microsoft 365 only, rather than all of our IT?

Tell us what you need. Some businesses want Microsoft 365 looked after alongside an existing IT person. We will discuss whether a focused scope fits, and the written scope says exactly what Guardian covers.

We think we pay for licenses nobody uses. Can you check?

Yes. Reviewing who has which license, and whether former staff still hold one, is part of bringing Microsoft 365 under management. We explain what we find before anything is changed or cancelled.

What happens to a departing employee’s email and files?

They should be handed over or kept as your business decides, and the account closed so access is not left behind. We agree the steps with you and document them, so every departure is handled the same way.

Is anyone in charge of your Microsoft 365?

If the answer is unclear, a short conversation is a good place to start.
